After I get off the phone, I take a long bath. My upper thighs hurt but I know it’s from being spread-eagle on that table for like half an hour.

I love this bathtub. It’s huge and the jets are massaging my body so wonderfully. I don’t ever want to go home. At least the good thing about that is the heat will be working and soon I’ll be able to move into a better home.

I spend an hour in the tub before laying down for a nap. Zakhar aside, this week has been tiring. I walked more than I’ve ever done. Seeing the buildings from the car wasn’t the same as walking down the sidewalks and looking through windows. I can’t wait to see the drafts once the architects walk through and take a look at the properties. That thought brings Tamryn to mind.

He’s such a sweetheart. I hate that I have such a crazy attraction to Zakhar because Tamryn is definitely the sure thing between the two. He’s not as tall as Zakhar but he’s built! His body has been honed from years of construction. He’s got such a masculine face complete with cleft chin. His blue eyes are intense and his hands are huge with just the right amount of callouses. He’d make a great partner for some lucky woman. I don’t know if that’s me but I’m going to enjoy going out tomorrow night. It’s my first date and I look forward to having a great time.

Talking to Jemila gave me clarity. I know I’d like to be loved like crazy by a man who would move heaven and earth to make me happy. That’s what she has with Andrusha and she wasn’t even looking. Just because I’m ridiculously attracted to Zakhar doesn’t mean he’s my Mr. Right. There’s no rush and since I’m new to this, I should take the time to date and really get a feel for what I like. I have some thinking to do tonight. If things go like I plan, Zakhar will show up, we’ll have a few drinks and I’ll wake up in his bed in the morning.

I set my alarm so I don’t sleep too long. This nap is much-needed. I close my eyes and visions of Zakhar’s face between my legs run through my head.

I wake up and throw some sweats on. Usually I smell dinner by this time, but there’s no wonderful aromas wafting upstairs today. I do smell something, but it’s not the aromas I’m used to. I find Lev and Budimir downstairs in the kitchen. Budimir is over the stove and Lev is at the island mixing something in a bowl. He looks over and sees me standing in the doorway.

“Lorraine,” he smiles.

“Hey guys! Something smells… interesting. I’m starving,” I say, taking a seat at the island.

“I figured you would’ve eaten by now,” Lev says, “We have plenty, though.”

“What time is it?” I didn’t bring my phone down with me.

“It’s almost 7:00.”

“Seriously?! I must’ve set my alarm wrong,” I say, shaking my head.
